Overview[]

The Australian Cattle Dog, or Blue Heeler, is a herding dog breed originally bred in Australia for droving cattle across long distances in rough terrain.

Appearance[]

The typical Australian Cattle Dog lives for around 14 years and weighs between 31 and 35 pounds. They are known to have lots of spots and smudges on their fur, which is usually colored blue, red, and white.
